MN Live-In Counselor
Work with individuals in their own apartments!
Demonstrate your ability to work independently and work for Dungarvin, a nationally recognized provider with over 40 years experience providing quality services for people with disabilities.
We have a part time live-in opportunity in a supported apartment setting. This position serves males and females. This is an independent housing option. Staff will be in the private homes of persons served.
Responsibilities: Staff will assist people in their own apartments with cooking, bill paying, budgeting, schedule making, and other ILS (Independent Living Skills) skills. Staff will accompany individuals when they run errands such as grocery shopping and accompanying to doctor appointments if the person served requests. Staff also assist individuals learn/become more independent.
These positions are different from a group home setting: staff provide reminders to complete physical cares and typically only provide set-up and oversight with medications.
Dungarvin offers:
$12.24/hour, with scheduled raises

AJRequirements1 year of related experience or education/training preferred
Must have computer skills to electronically document throughout your shift using Therap
Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
Valid driver's license, with an acceptable driving record
Must pass a criminal background check
18 years of age or older
High School Diploma or GED
